The Deuce Act of the week is Rock act Brandon & The Outpost Band who are based in Texas , USA .
From the age of 17 lead singer Rob Brandon has been fronting bands resulting in national exposure in both Canada and the USA throughout the 70’s 80’s and 90’s.
The exposure Rob Brandon was receiving during the 70’s caught the attention of Doors manager Danny Sugarman and was considered as the possible replacement for Jim Morrison. Unfortunately legal and professional issues which have been well documented plagued the band and the reformed Doors was not launched at that time.
After becoming exhausted and disillusioned with the music industry, Rob Brandon went to friend and music icon Willie Nelson for advice on taking his music mainstream. The outcome of the meeting was for Rob to go ‘Sci Fi ‘and become the ‘Captain Kirk of Rock’ resulting in a screen play being filmed called Lost Outpost. A soundtrack was then written for the screen play seeing Rob Brandon form The Outpost Band which includes members who have played with some of the biggest names in the music business.
